FreeSerp answers before there is an account to check

FreeSerp is a free web search and SERP API built for AI agents, with no API key, no signup and no published rate plan. It draws on two sources, FreeSerp Global, its own index of more than 3.1 billion pages, and FreeSerp Main, over 20 million site profiles with LLM-written summaries, through a JSON REST API and an MCP connector.

An agent built to keep as little identity attached to its own requests as possible still usually needs to search the web, and a search dependency that requires a stored key works against that from the start. FreeSerp removes the key from that one step, without changing what the agent does with the results afterward.

No key, because there is no signup behind one

A request can be sent as soon as the endpoint is known, with no account to create and no key to request first. That differs from a key that happens to cost nothing: here there is no key step in the flow at all, and nothing tied to an account for the agent to hold, protect or rotate later on.

Two sources, not one

FreeSerp Global is its own index of more than 3.1 billion web pages. FreeSerp Main is a separate set of over 20 million site profiles, each with an LLM-written summary rather than a raw page dump. An agent can query either one, depending on whether it needs page-level results or a shorter, summarized profile of a site instead.

A REST API and an MCP connector

Requests go through a JSON REST API for direct integration into existing code, or an MCP connector for agent frameworks that already speak that protocol. Both reach the same two sources; the connector is a different door into the same index, not a separate product with its own separate data or its own separate coverage behind it.

What it is, and what it is not

FreeSerp describes itself as a keyless alternative to the Google and Bing search APIs, built on its own index rather than by scraping either one directly. It does not claim real-time Google results, and it does not publish a rate limit or a freshness guarantee for either of its two sources, Global or Main.

What a missing key does not remove

Dropping the key removes one identifier from an agent's own chain, but the request still crosses a network that other parties can log: an internet provider, a proxy, the sites in the index themselves. FreeSerp states nothing about what it logs on its own side; that is worth checking directly rather than assumed from the absence of a key, before wiring a search step into a project built to stay otherwise anonymous.
